La Cafetiere Coffee French PressThe Coffee French Press by La Cafetiere, also known as a press pot or coffee plunger makes perfect coffee in an instant, without the instant taste! The La Cafetiere Coffee French Press is easy to use, easy to clean and it can produce a stronger coffee than other devices. The La Cafetiere French press is more portable and self contained than other coffee makers making them ideal for use in today’s kitchen, dining room or even on the patio.
The La Cafetière French press consists of a narrow cylindrical beaker made of glass, equipped with a lid and a "plunger" which fits tightly in the cylinder that has a fine wire or nylon mesh acting as a filter. Coffee is brewed by placing the coffee and water together, leaving to brew for a few minutes, and then depressing the plunger to separate the coffee at the bottom of the beaker. The press can also be used in place of a tea infuser to brew loose tea.

Note: Coffee for use in a French press should be a coarser grind than that used for a drip brew coffee filter or espresso, as anything other than a coarse grind will seep through the press filter and into the coffee.
